ORHA hosts Darwin Millard the lead author of ASTM International Technical Committee D37 on Cannabis’ 51st standard – D8449.  He will give us a deep dive into this new standard and explain its significance and use. Come learn and ask questions of the lead author of the most recent label content specifications and the potential implications D8449 may have.

ASTM International Technical Committee D37 on Cannabis’ 51st standard – D8449 Specification for Label Content and Style, Format, Prominence, and Location of Elements for Consumer Products Containing Cannabinoids and how it may impact the hemp-derived cannabinoid products marketplace in Oregon and the rest of the US.

This talk will cover novel concepts such as a Declaration of Cannabinoids, making Cannabinoid Dominance Claims and Cannabinoid Ratio Claims, and how these relate to established label content requirements like Declaration of Identity, Declaration of Responsibility, and Declaration of Quantity.
