Industry Claims Overregulation by ODA at Hearing on Proposed Vendor License

Oregon hemp program licensees and stakeholders, this is YOUR OPPORTUNITY to be heard and to have an impact!

The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) conducted a Public Hearing on Proposed Rules impacting the Oregon Hemp program. The proposed changes include the introduction of a new vendor license requirement, set to come into effect on July 1, 2024.

Testifiers’ Concerns:
– Industry stakeholders expressed worries about overregulation and the potential negative impact on small businesses.
– Concerns were raised about the declining number of program participants and the feasibility of doing business in the state.
